The Main Character Podcast

The Main Character Podcast is an entrepreneurial endeavor founded by my best friend and I, two NYU graduates who, in our final semester seized an unexpected opportunity. NYU’s student-run radio station, WNYU, held an open-call for new podcast pitches. My friend and I submitted our idea, and the rest was history! From that moment, The Main Character Podcast was born and broadcast across the tri-state area. Now, post-graduation, the show is co-produced. Our podcast focuses on the experiences of Black women and women of color, aiming to increase visibility and foster community in a way that’s loving and laugh-inducing. Tested and researched methods to generate 130 + plays in 5 months, showcasing consistent audience engagement in growth stages

Produced and edited cross-platform social media content for an episode, generating 2,000+ impressions on Instagram and TikTok and achieving the show's third-highest listenership to date

Continuously grew Spotify following with every episode release, indicating expansion and listener loyalty
